Every child has a right to feel safe from bullying and discrimination and any child with a worry or problem is encouraged to talk about it with someone who they†¦show more content†¦Her mother had extreme troubles getting the girl to school in the morning and then, finally (late) arriving at school the girl was in floods of tears and did not want to enter the school any further than the office... it took my colleague sometimes over an hour to reason with the girl to get her to join her class. A few times a classmate was send to the office where the girl was to try and calm her down and help her come to the class, but it was found too distressing for the classmate and also too much time was lost for her. After the girl was eventually settled in though, there were no further problems during the day and she seemed to enjoy herself, have good social contacts and a healthy interest in learning. At the end of the first week the teacher asked for a volunteer to pick up the register from the office on arriving at school and take it back to the office after the register had been taken for the day, and the girl put her hand up. The teacher gave her the responsibility hoping that it would help her overcome her anxiety regarding starting the day if she had a job to focus on. Unfortunately it did not work; the extra responsibility was no help at all. Then the mother started bringing her straight to the class and my colleague would receive her, still the girl was totally unwilling to enter the class. Recently everyone has started hearing the out cry surrounding the problem of the degradationof the worlds ecosystems that have a negative effect on the biodiversity and the livelihoods of people worldwide. People are beginning to realise that that these bio- systems can not be conserved just through the protection of critical areas alone. A new solution whos potential hasn’t been fully taken advantage of until now is ecological restoration which is a process whereby not only the recovery of eco systems that have been degraded damaged or destroyed are looked at but also the human influences that surround them. In order for ecological restoration to be effective it needs to pay attention to four main aspects namely: †¢ Improvement of biodiversity conservation, †¢ Improvement of the livelihoods of people, †¢ The empowerment of the native and local people and †¢ The improvement of the productivity of the ecosystems. The difference between typical conservation where only the environment is considered and ecological restoration is that it has the potential to make opportunities available not only to repair the damage done to the ecosystems but also to improve the condition of the people involved in rescuing it. This is all verifiable by social security numbers. It is to the employee’s advantage to do a background check to verify the information in their records is accurate. If the information the applicant is putting in writing conflicts with what is in the databases, he or she will never be told. Even if the information comes out to be inaccurate, the management already formed a permanent opinion. Be selective about the company. The financial investors and presidents are uncertain about the future financial status of the company. Do some research to determine what others are earning (Lloyd, no date given). Doing research will be well worth the time when negotiating salaries. Psychologically, an employee feels much more confident when the day comes to negotiate salaries if they feel they are prepared.   The employee should keep an accurate, detailed list of all the accomplishments that was valuable to the company. Remember that salary negotiations start way before the day the arrangements are made. Keep a professional, formal relationship with the management and co-workers. It is a good policy to never have conversations that includes anyone who is not present.
